LYRIC

Ke go, ke go Tumi acená;
Sahasá ele, ghum bháungále
Kena jáni ná.

Chilum ándháre ghumaghore
Baddha vátáyane,
Dvár khulini eso’ balini
Tabu ele sámne,
Ceye dekhi áloke mákhi
Dhálcho karuńá.

Kotháy chilum, kena je elum
Kichui jáni ná;
Kaile kathá, mor itikatha,
Balle kendo ná;
Dvár-vátáyan-ghum-jágarań
Amári kalpaná.

Who are You, the Unknown?
Suddenly You came and broke my sleep
I know not why.

I was in darkness, under the spell of slumber,
With windows closed,
I did not open the door, nor did I ask You to come in,
Yet You came and stood before me.
Opening my eyes,
I saw You bathed in effulgence,
And pouring grace bountifully.

Where I was and why I came there,
I know nothing about.
You spoke to me, told me about my past,
And said, “Do not weep.
The doors, windows, slumber and wakefulness
Are merely My imagination.”
