LYRIC
Vátás vasudhá sudhaghrán;
Ke Tumi hese hese pashe vaseo gáo gán.
Káhár karunáketane
Nirjhar jhare ke jane;
Priitir saritá ujáne
Nece jáy ananta práń.
Raun-berauner kusume
Bhálabásár suíame;
Gandii granthi utkrame
Bale jáy Tumi-i nidhán.
Ajikár e madhu nisha sarák sakal taması;
Jagántarer nirásha sare ják ásuk vihán.
The air breathes the smell of earth’s nectar,
Who are you singing smilingly beside me?
From whose unknown abode of kindness
Does the fountain shower?
Along the river of love flowing upstream
Dances endless life.
Amid flowers, diversely coloured
And the sweet grace of love,
It pierces the knots of the glands,
Saying, “You are the final desideratum.”
Let this vernal night remove all gloom,
Let the despair of ages disappear,
and the new dawn emerge.
