Tumi ele áji;
Mekhe’ ketakii-parág, paráne
Shikhii uthila náci’.
Saorabhe júthikár vátás bhariyá geche,
Vanaviithikár mrga ákáshe cahiyá ache;
Bheve’ táder kathá manane viińá uthila báji’.
Kadamvakeshare pulak chařiye geche,
Bindu bindu udak táte ánká áche;
Dekhe’ niiper shobhá nayane, dhará uthila sáji’.
You have arrived today, You have arrived.
With its heart smeared with the pollen of ketakii,
The peacock went into dance.
The air is filled with the fragrance of jasmine,
The deer, in the forest avenue, gazes up at the sky,
Recalling all this, the viińá was stirred into play.
A thrill has spread through the pollen of the kadamba,
Dotted with water in tiny little drops;
Seeing the beauty of the niipa, the earth dressed in gay decoration.
